WYOMING BUSINESS COUNCIL AGRICULTURE FUND AND ENDURANCE FUND

WYOMING BUSINESS COUNCIL AGRICULTURE FUND AND ENDURANCE FUND

admin

The Wyoming Business Council (WBC) has announced two more Covid-19 Business Relief Programs, one called the Agriculture Fund and the other is the Endurance Fund.  Both may be applied for at www.wyobizrelief.org starting Nov 2 through Nov 18.  There is $90 million allocated to the Agriculture Fund and at least $24 million to the Endurance Fund.

Agriculture Fund

Wyoming based ranchers and farmers with at least one employee (the owner is considered an employee) who have lost revenue due to Covid can apply for the Agriculture Fund.  Only ranchers and farmers who produce livestock or crops can apply.  Your business must be headquartered in Wyoming or have its principal operations in Wyoming and at least 60 percent of your employees must be employed in Wyoming or 60 percent of the business payroll is paid to individuals living in Wyoming.

A spreadsheet to calculate the Ag Fund grant is attached HERE.  You start by comparing revenue received from 03/13/2019 – 11/02/2019 to revenue received from 03/13/2020 – 11/02/2020.  You must show a revenue loss in 2020 compared to 2019.  Then you add extraordinary expenses you paid this year due to Covid.  For example, if you had to pay additional feedlot expense because of delays in the supply chain due to Covid, that counts as an extraordinary expense.  You don’t get to count all your expenses, only the extraordinary expenses you paid due to Covid.  Then you must reduce the sum of those two by all federal and state funds you already received due to Covid.  These include PPP loans, EIDL grants, Covid Food Assistance Program grants, and previous WBC grants received. In no event can the Ag Fund grant exceed $250,000.

Endurance Fund

The Endurance Fund is to reimburse all Wyoming businesses and nonprofits for lost revenue due to Covid.  Your business must have at least one employee and the business owner counts as an employee.  Nonprofits that are 501(c)(3), (6), (12) or (19) are eligible.  Your business or nonprofit must be headquartered in Wyoming or have its principal operations in Wyoming and at least 60 percent of your employees must be employed in Wyoming or 60 percent of the business payroll is paid to individuals living in Wyoming.

A spreadsheet to calculate the Endurance Fund grant is attached HERE.  You start by comparing revenue received from 03/13/2019 – 11/02/2019 to revenue received from 03/13/2020 – 11/02/2020.  You must show a revenue loss in 2020 compared to 2019.  Then you add extraordinary expenses you paid this year due to Covid.  For example, PPE, cleaning/sanitizing supplies, and Covid related signage count. In no event can the Endurance Fund grant exceed $250,000.

You can go to WBC’s website www.wyobizerelief.org to view webinars explaining the funds and to gather additional information about them.  You will go to the same website starting Nov 2nd to apply for the grants. Remember, you only have until Nov 18th to apply.  Please call us with any questions and let us know how we can help with the grant calculation.
